Web 3.0

Web 3.0 is the third generation of the World Wide Web. Similar to Web 2.0, the definition of Web 3.0 is unclear. The technology that will bring Web 3.0 is also unclear. However, computer scientists believe Web 3.0 will bring about the widespread use and adaptation of artificial intelligence. Web applications will become smarter and more intuitive and provide better search results by using the contextual cues provided by the user. Computer scientists also predict the greater use of virtual assistants and improvements upon the current virtual assistant technology. Another possible feature of Web 3.0 might be increased usefulness of virtual reality, especially in the realm of computer games, ecommerce, and travel. One very strong point about Web 3.0 is semantics and context. Web 3.0 aims to provide context to searches and to pinpoint specifically what the user want without the user going into grave detail. Web 3.0 will enhance the everyday life of users. For example, ideally, a user can request “Japanese” food and Web 3.0 will display the top rated restaurants and display a virtual menu. Overall, the goal of Web 3.0 is semantics and speed. Users can get what they want quickly and specifically.
